My possibly " Unique" Trolly Witness....
by The Rebel ini don't usually anti-witness anymore, but being out of town and bored i went up and introduced myself to a couple of sisters " trolly witnessing" then a voice from behind me spoke " if you don't mind i think i was in front of you".
i stepped back, apologising as i did so, and decided to continue with my day.. anyway this trivial incident i post because it may be quite unique, i mean i really can't imagine anywhere else in the world where people are queing up to speak to these people manning " trolly carts" can you?.
and on the whole i think that's a good thing, even if he was ahead of me only to anti-witness?.

I personally am grateful that one woman in field service took the time to explain to me that Christians believe in a paradise earth.
I addition to explaining her beliefs about paradise earth, did she explain how she believes that everyone such as yourself who is contacted by Jehovah's Witnesses yet doesn't become one, will be slaughtered by God at the soon to happen Armageddon? This includes any children living in your household.
You may have fared better at Armageddon had she not spoken to you.

the amounts of his donations has been posted in other forums with copies of the public tax filings of his love 4 one another foundation..

Yeah and that's from money that he earned not from funds extracted from government funds or social programs like some religions do to finance their projects.
Yes...it was earned prancing around on stages around the world wearing high heels and makeup and singing rock songs with highly sexualized lyrics, all the while claiming to be one of Jehovah's Witness who teach that the Bible condemns such activities.
(not that I have a problem with Prince but it's hard not to see the irony)

i haven't gotten involved in much commenting and i am not very assertive by nature so i've steered away from participating in debates.
but i have read threads often and had a sense of community.

I have looked back at some of my posts and realized that the words I used at the time could have been chosen more carefully. When I read a harsh sounding post or comment, I figure that this may be the case as well.
As is often the case in life, it's best to err on the side of kindness and not be quick to take offense. (I learned that the hard way myself )

by Farai inabout 30-50 high profile guests are expected among 300 other guests.
the kingdom hall has requested for support from the police for crowd/traffic control .

Just thought I'd mention.....I ran into a JW at Costco the other day and she hugged me and said everyone missus Mrs Zahut and I yadda yadda. Somehow we got onto the topic of Prince. She ( an elder's wife) mentioned on her own that she is very angry that the Society viewes him as "in good standing" when everyone else has to restrict pretty much every aspect of their lives to be considered such. She said she's writing an angry letter to the Society about this.
I'm sure she's not the only one. I've seen facebook comments to the same effect.

Better to err on the side of caution in cases like this. I don't mind putting up with a Troll or an attention seeker if posting here satisfies their need for attention or answers their cry for help. In either case and for whatever reason, someone is feeling a void in their life or they are suffering and I can spare a little empathy if there's a chance it might help them.

Shooting in the foot (homophobic video)
by Syme inwith the newly released homophobic video by the wts, it gets clearer that those people can't stop shooting themselves in the foot.
they are already under examination and de facto trial by the australian committee; more and more people and officials in western democracies inquire into their abusive tactics and put them under the microscope, and what do they do?
they release a video which confirms those worries.

The whole "hate the sin love the sinner" attitude is also still homophobic in nature. Homosexuality is only a sin because some old book says it's a sin.
How is that being Homophobic? They supposedly don't hate the Homosexual or the Heterosexual, That's a good thing right ? They hate the sins no matter who commits them and they are determined not to sin themselves . That seems perfectly logical and fair, even if you don't happen to share their definition of what a sin is, they should be able to regulate their own behavior according to their personal beliefs.
What if someone were to say, "I love religious people, but I hate it when they practice their religion. Their activities should be outlawed. We should be able to deny religious people services because I hate their practices. But I'm not hating them! Just what they're doing!"
What "if" they said grass is orange and the sky is green? They would be incorrect in saying so but they didn't say that and there was also noting in this video that indicated they wanted Homosexuals denied their civil rights or that anyone should be mean to them. You projected that idea into what was being said....they never said anything in this video about taking action against gay people or anyone else, it was about regulating their own behavior.
